Aventura, FL

Aventura, located in Miami-Dade County one mile west of the Atlantic Ocean and 12 miles north of Miami, is home to around 35,000 residents. The city, developed in the 1970s, is the site of some of south Florida's first high-rise condominium complexes. It is best known as the home of the luxury Aventura Mall, the fifth largest mall in the United States, as well as Turnberry Isle Golf Resort and the well-regarded Aventura Cultural Arts Center.

The City of Aventura owns and maintains eight city parks, with facilities that include fitness trails, children's playgrounds, tennis courts and picnic grounds. Aventura offers plenty of parks such as Founders Park which not only is a place where children enjoy playing on the playground, biking around the property, having picnics, and the park is also where Aventura school soccer teams train. Aventura is known for its many golf courses, including the course at the Turnberry Isle Resort. Of course, Altantic Ocean beaches are just a mile away to the east.

While the Atlantic Ocean is a mile to the east, Aventura is located on the Intercoastal Waterway and has many lagoons and canals that criss-cross the city. Many properties include private dock space.
